In 2021, approx. X tons of dental cements and bone reconstruction cements were imported into Singapore; jumping by 54% against the year before. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a abrupt contraction. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, medical reconstruction cements imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Japan (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of medical reconstruction cements to Singapore, with a 68% share of total imports. Moreover, medical reconstruction cements imports from Japan exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), ninefold. The United States (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.5% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Japan amounted to -4.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (-1.4% per year) and the United States (-4.3% per year).

The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 7.6% share of total imports. It was followed by the United States, with a 7.5% share.
