Dolomite Market Size in Singapore

The Singaporean dolomite market expanded significantly to $X in 2021, surging by 8.2% against the previous year. In general, consumption showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Dolomite consumption peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Indonesia (X tons), China (X tons) and Malaysia (X tons) were the main destinations of dolomite exports from Singapore, together accounting for 99% of total exports.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, dolomite imports fell sharply to $X in 2021. In general, imports recorded a sharp curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 9.8% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, India (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of dolomite to Singapore, with a 47% share of total imports. Moreover, dolomite imports from India exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Malaysia (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the United States (X tons), with a 20% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from India amounted to -16.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Malaysia (-5.9% per year) and the United States (-6.6% per year).
