In general, imports, however, recorded a abrupt slump. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a mild decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 105%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates to Singapore, with a 52% share of total imports. Moreover, manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Thailand (X tons), threefold. The United States (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 14% share.
