From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Australia amounted to -19.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the UK (+18.5% per year) and Maldives (+10.3% per year).

In 2022, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of sheets, panels and tiles of cellulose fibrecement, when their volume increased by 54% to X tons. Over the period under review, imports showed a strong expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 111% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, cellulose fibrecement sheet imports rose sharply to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 46% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of cellulose fibrecement sheet to Singapore, accounting for a 60% share of total imports. Moreover, cellulose fibrecement sheet imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Malaysia (X tons), threefold. The Philippines (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 5.6% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to +9.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Malaysia (+14.5% per year) and the Philippines (+10.7% per year).

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Malaysia (+15.8% per year) and India (+27.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average cellulose fibrecement sheet import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, reducing by -31.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a drastic downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average import price increased by 67%.
