Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, temporarily preserved vegetable imports contracted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a mild downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 44% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
