In 2021, the average waffle and wafer export price amounted to $X per ton, which is down by -16.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 97%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Samoa ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Philippines (+28.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, waffle and wafer imports into Singapore was estimated at X tons, increasing by 3.8% on the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 42% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 13%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per ton), while the price for the United States ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
