After six years of growth, the Singaporean whole fresh milk market decreased by -5.2% to $X in 2022. The exports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, whole fresh milk exports fell markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports recorded a abrupt contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 54%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Cambodia (X tons), Brunei Darussalam (X tons) and Bangladesh (X tons) were the main destinations of whole fresh milk exports from Singapore, together comprising 71% of total exports.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 8.2%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then dropped modestly in the following year.

Over the period under review, total imports indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +43.5% against 2015 indices. In 2022, the average whole fresh milk import price amounted to $X per ton, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 6.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2021, and then fell slightly in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was New Zealand ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
