In value terms, buckwheat exports reduced to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a tangible expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 225%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Germany (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) were the main destinations of buckwheat exports from Slovakia, together accounting for 85% of total exports. Austria and Poland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 13%.
