The Czech Republic (X tons) was the main destination for cocoa powder exports from Slovakia, with a 64% share of total exports. Moreover, cocoa powder exports to the Czech Republic exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Hungary (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Croatia (X tons), with an 8.4% share.

Overall, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 10%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, cocoa powder imports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 42%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

The Netherlands (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main suppliers of cocoa powder imports to Slovakia, together accounting for 76% of total imports.
