Overall, exports, however, recorded strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 352%. The exports peaked at X units in 2021, and then reduced modestly in the following year.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker exports dropped to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by 101% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

Exports by Country

The Czech Republic (X units), Germany (X units) and Poland (X units) were the main destinations of electric oven and cooker exports from Slovakia, together accounting for 55% of total exports. Hungary, Austria, Ukraine, Romania and Croatia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Croatia (with a CAGR of +125.3%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the Czech Republic ($X) remains the key foreign market for electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters exports from Slovakia, comprising 36% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by Hungary, with a 6.6% share.

In 2022, the amount of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters imported into Slovakia plummeted to X units, waning by -19.4% on the previous year's figure. In general, imports, however, saw a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 69%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X units in 2021, and then dropped notably in the following year.

The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with an 8.3% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China totaled +26.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (+3.6% per year) and the Czech Republic (+5.3% per year).

The average electric oven and cooker import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, with a decrease of -4.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a noticeable contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 33% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while the price for the Netherlands ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
