Overall, consumption, however, continues to indicate a perceptible downturn. As a result, consumption attained the peak level of $X. In general, exports, however, saw a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 58%. The exports peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

The Czech Republic (X units), Hungary (X units) and Poland (X units) were the main destinations of calculator exports from Slovakia, with a combined 92% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Austria, Serbia and Romania, which together accounted for a further 6.5%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Serbia (with a CAGR of +1.3%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, the Czech Republic ($X), Poland ($X) and Hungary ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for calculator exported from Slovakia worldwide, with a combined 82% share of total exports. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+35.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Slovakia
In 2021, the amount of electronic calculators and pocket-size data recording, reproducing and displaying machines with calculating functions imported into Slovakia soared to X units, with an increase of 19% compared with 2020. Overall, imports, however, showed a deep slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 26%. Imports peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, calculator imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a abrupt downturn. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, the Czech Republic (X units) constituted the largest supplier of calculator to Slovakia, accounting for a 58% share of total imports. Moreover, calculator imports from the Czech Republic exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X units), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (X units), with an 8.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from the Czech Republic amounted to +24.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (-26.4% per year) and Germany (+0.5% per year).
In value terms, the Czech Republic ($X) constituted the largest supplier of electronic calculators and pocket-size data recording, reproducing and displaying machines with calculating functions to Slovakia, comprising 71% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Germany ($X), with a 9.2% share of total imports. It was followed by France, with a 4.6% share.
