In 2021, ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys imports into Slovakia surged to X tons, jumping by 33% compared with 2020. Over the period under review, imports recorded resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 33%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw resilient growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, the Czech Republic (X tons) constituted the largest ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys supplier to Slovakia, with a 78% share of total imports. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from the Czech Republic amounted to +9.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+8.3% per year) and the Netherlands (+81.3% per year).

In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable decline.
