Over the period under review, imports, however, posted temperate growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 61%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, frozen pork cut imports contracted sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 77% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Poland (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of frozen pork cut to Slovakia, accounting for a 38% share of total imports. Moreover, frozen pork cut imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Spain (X tons), twofold.
