In value terms, hormones, prostaglandins, thromboxanes and leukotrienes exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 148,811%. The exports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Germany (X kg) was the main destination for hormones, prostaglandins, thromboxanes and leukotrienes exports from Slovakia, accounting for a 34% share of total exports. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 410% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, hormones, prostaglandins, thromboxanes and leukotrienes imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 173% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
