The Czech Republic (X tons) was the main destination for imines exports from Slovakia, with a 51% share of total exports. Moreover, imines exports to the Czech Republic exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Austria (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Bulgaria (X tons), with an 8.4% share.

In value terms, the Czech Republic ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for imines and their derivatives and salts thereof exports from Slovakia, comprising 23% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Slovenia ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by Romania, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to the Czech Republic totaled +6.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Slovenia (+16.8% per year) and Romania (+52.9% per year).

In 2021, approx. X tons of imines and their derivatives and salts thereof were imported into Slovakia; falling by -45.9% compared with 2020 figures. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 1,047%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, imines imports shrank markedly to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed modest growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 672%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
China (X tons), India (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of imines imports to Slovakia, together comprising 63% of total imports. These countries were followed by Russia, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany and Poland, which together accounted for a further 34%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +103.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest imines suppliers to Slovakia were China ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and India ($X), with a combined 62% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, Russia and Poland, which together accounted for a further 32%.
Among the main suppliers, Belgium, with a CAGR of +142.6%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average imines import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 29% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imines import price increased by +70.3% against 2016 indices. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while the price for Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+14.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
