Knife And Scissors Market Size in Slovakia

The Slovak knife and scissors market declined markedly to $X in 2021, shrinking by -23.5% against the previous year. This figure reflects the total revenues of producers and importers (excluding logistics costs, retail marketing costs, and retailers' margins, which will be included in the final consumer price). Over the period under review, consumption, however, showed a buoyant expansion. Over the period under review, the market reached the peak level at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Overall, export price indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, knife and scissors export price increased by +82.1% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 19% against the previous year. Imports into Slovakia

In 2021, supplies from abroad of knives, scissors and blades decreased by -23.1% to X tons, falling for the third year in a row after three years of growth. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a temperate expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 47%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, knife and scissors imports dropped to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 34%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then fell in the following year.
