Moreover, lamb and sheep meat exports to Italy exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Poland (X tons), twofold. Belgium (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 18% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from the Czech Republic amounted to +24.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (+10.2% per year) and Belgium (+115.1% per year).
In value terms, the Czech Republic ($X) constituted the largest supplier of lamb and sheep meat to Slovakia, comprising 50% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Netherlands ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by Belgium, with an 18% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from the Czech Republic stood at +26.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (+9.1% per year) and Belgium (+116.7% per year).
Import Prices by Country
