In 2021, the amount of medicaments containing vitamins and provitamins imported into Slovakia soared to X tons, with an increase of 17% on the year before. In general, total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +129.5% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 31%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

The third position in this ranking was taken by France (X tons), with an 11% share.
