The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +87.4% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +64.8% against 2017 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Romania (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) were the main destinations of mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exports from Slovakia, with a combined 72% share of total exports. France, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Moldova, Turkey, Germany, Austria and Spain lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 25%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Ukraine (with a CAGR of +85.2%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Romania ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and France ($X) were the largest markets for mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exported from Slovakia worldwide, together comprising 64% of total exports. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +71.8% against 2012 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

In value terms, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning imports rose modestly to $X in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +83.9% against 2015 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

The Czech Republic (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Croatia (X tons) were the main suppliers of mixed condiment, sause and seasoning imports to Slovakia, together comprising 69% of total imports. Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, China and Austria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 19%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by China (with a CAGR of +39.9%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
