In 2021, the Slovak boiler parts market was finally on the rise to reach $X after three years of decline. Over the period under review, consumption posted a strong expansion. Boiler parts consumption peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Exports from Slovakia
For the third consecutive year, Slovakia recorded decline in overseas shipments of parts of boilers for central heating, which decreased by -6.4% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a tangible expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 68%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, boiler parts exports stood at $X in 2021. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +4.0% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 24%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
Germany (X tons), the UK (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main destinations of boiler parts exports from Slovakia, together accounting for 79% of total exports. These countries were followed by Turkey, the Czech Republic, Liechtenstein and the Netherlands, which together accounted for a further 16%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Liechtenstein (with a CAGR of +19.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the key foreign market for parts of boilers for central heating exports from Slovakia, comprising 43% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the UK ($X), with a 19% share of total exports. It was followed by France, with an 18% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Germany stood at +5.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the UK (-2.4% per year) and France (+4.5% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average boiler parts export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, with an increase of 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 38% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Liechtenstein ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Liechtenstein (+17.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Slovakia
In 2021, boiler parts imports into Slovakia was estimated at X tons, growing by 6.2% on 2020. Overall, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, boiler parts imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, total imports indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
Germany (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main suppliers of boiler parts imports to Slovakia, with a combined 62% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Turkey, the Czech Republic, China, France and the Netherlands, which together accounted for a further 29%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Turkey (with a CAGR of +44.9%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of parts of boilers for central heating to Slovakia, comprising 39% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Germany was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+9.2% per year) and the Czech Republic (+8.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average boiler parts import price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 12% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.4%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+12.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
