Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of polyamide imports to Slovakia, with a combined 71% share of total imports. Belgium, Poland, South Korea, France, the Netherlands and the UK lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 20%.
