In 2022, imports of propellers and rotors for civil non-powered aircraft, helicopters and aeroplanes into Slovakia skyrocketed to X tons, increasing by 39% against 2021 figures. In general, imports showed slight growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 102%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, aircraft propeller imports reached $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a moderate expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 83%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Russia (X tons) constituted the largest aircraft propeller supplier to Slovakia, accounting for a 57% share of total imports. Moreover, aircraft propeller imports from Russia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Czech Republic (X tons), twofold. The United States (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.8% share.

The second position in the ranking was held by the United States ($X), with a 22% share of total imports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 6.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Russia amounted to +2.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United States (+28.3% per year) and the Czech Republic (+2.3% per year).
