In value terms, exports of pulp from fibres other than wood amounted to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 1,501% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Turkey (X tons) was the main destination for exports of pulp from fibres other than wood from Slovakia, accounting for a 62% share of total exports. Over the period under review, imports of reached the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, imports of pulp from fibres other than wood fell remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 49% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, the Czech Republic (X tons) constituted the largest pulp from fibres other than wood supplier to Slovakia, accounting for a 50% share of total imports. From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from the Czech Republic stood at +15.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Belgium (-4.9% per year) and Austria (-23.5% per year).
