The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by -27.2% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 26% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, vulcanised rubber seal exports fell to $X in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by +0.7% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

The Czech Republic (X tons) was the main destination for vulcanised rubber seal exports from Slovakia, accounting for a 48% share of total exports. Moreover, vulcanised rubber seal exports to the Czech Republic exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Poland (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (X tons), with a 13% share.

In 2022, vulcanised rubber seal imports into Slovakia shrank slightly to X tons, reducing by -4.7% compared with 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 26%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, vulcanised rubber seal imports shrank markedly to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.0% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 33%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then fell sharply in the following year.

Poland (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of vulcanised rubber seal imports to Slovakia, with a combined 63% share of total imports. The Czech Republic, Spain, South Korea, China and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 27%.
