In 2022, after four years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of babies clothing and accessories (not knitted or crocheted), when their volume decreased by -97.7% to X tons. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a mild setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 502%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then shrank sharply in the following year.
In value terms, baby clothes exports reduced notably to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed modest growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 377%. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then contracted remarkably in the following year.

Croatia (X tons), Spain (X tons) and Italy (X kg) were the main destinations of baby clothes exports from Slovenia, together accounting for 74% of total exports. Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic and Serbia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 19%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Poland (with a CAGR of +95.1%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average baby clothes export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, picking up by 83% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a measured expansion. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+9.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Slovenia
In 2022, after five years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of babies clothing and accessories (not knitted or crocheted), when their volume decreased by -73.5% to X tons. Over the period under review, imports recorded a perceptible reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 122% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, baby clothes imports plummeted to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a deep setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 60%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then dropped sharply in the following year.
Imports by Country
Bangladesh (X tons), China (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) were the main suppliers of baby clothes imports to Slovenia, with a combined 65% share of total imports. Italy, Croatia, Myanmar, India, Vietnam, Poland, Pakistan, Turkey, the Czech Republic and Germany lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 29%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +57.3%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X), Bangladesh ($X) and Hungary ($X) were the largest baby clothes suppliers to Slovenia, with a combined 61% share of total imports. Italy, India, Vietnam, Myanmar, Turkey, Poland, Croatia, Germany, Pakistan and the Czech Republic lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 30%.

Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild descent. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
