The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 19%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Germany (X tons), Austria (X tons) and Croatia (X tons) were the main destinations of calendars and trade advertising material exports from Slovenia, together accounting for 82% of total exports. Hungary, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 14%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Slovakia (with a CAGR of +19.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for calendars and trade advertising material exported from Slovenia were Germany ($X), Austria ($X) and Croatia ($X), together accounting for 76% of total exports. Hungary, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 11%.
Slovakia, with a CAGR of +20.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for calendars and trade advertising material amounted to $X per ton, growing by 38% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.1%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Germany ($X per ton) and Austria ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Croatia ($X per ton) and Switzerland ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.

Imports into Slovenia
In 2022, overseas purchases of calendars and trade advertising material decreased by -19% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, imports recorded a noticeable reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 48%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, calendars and trade advertising material imports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 39% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Austria (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of calendars and trade advertising material to Slovenia, accounting for a 41% share of total imports. Moreover, calendars and trade advertising material imports from Austria exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Croatia (X tons), twofold. Hungary (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Austria totaled -3.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Croatia (+2.3% per year) and Hungary (+32.4% per year).
In value terms, the largest calendars and trade advertising material suppliers to Slovenia were Croatia ($X), Austria ($X) and Italy ($X), with a combined 49% share of total imports. Hungary, Germany, China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and the Czech Republic lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 37%.
Among the main suppliers, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a CAGR of +34.3%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average import price for calendars and trade advertising material stood at $X per ton in 2022, growing by 22% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 25%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while the price for Austria ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
