As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, citrus fruit exports contracted markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.

Poland (X tons), Bosnia and Herzegovina (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main destinations of citrus fruit exports from Slovenia, with a combined X% share of total exports. The Czech Republic, Serbia, Croatia, Italy and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per ton), while the price for Egypt ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
