Greece (X tons) was the main destination for crude soybean oil exports from Slovenia, accounting for a 58% share of total exports. In 2022, supplies from abroad of crude soybean oil decreased by -30.4% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, imports recorded a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 37%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, crude soybean oil imports shrank modestly to $X in 2022. In general, imports recorded a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 53%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Serbia (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of crude soybean oil imports to Slovenia, with a combined 99% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Hungary (with a CAGR of +71.9%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.
