Imports into Slovenia

Glass closure imports into Slovenia rose rapidly to X tons in 2022, with an increase of 13% compared with the year before. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 56%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, glass closure imports rose remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a perceptible downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 52%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of glass closure to Slovenia, with a 80% share of total imports. Moreover, glass closure imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X tons), sevenfold.
