Kiwi Fruit Market Size in Slovenia

From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Imports into Slovenia

In 2022, overseas purchases of kiwi fruits increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after four years of decline. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, kiwi fruit imports shrank to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a mild setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Italy (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of kiwi fruit to Slovenia, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, kiwi fruit imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Croatia (X tons), fivefold. New Zealand (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.
