Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate measured growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 96%. The exports peaked at X units in 2021, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, non-knitted men apparel exports reduced notably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a perceptible reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 90% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then dropped sharply in the following year.
Exports by Country
Croatia (X units) was the main destination for non-knitted men apparel exports from Slovenia, with a 29% share of total exports. Moreover, non-knitted men apparel exports to Croatia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Czech Republic (X units), twofold. Italy (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with an 11% share.

Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate buoyant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 62%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then plummeted in the following year.
In value terms, non-knitted men apparel imports reduced to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 48%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then dropped in the following year.
Imports by Country
Bangladesh (X units), China (X units) and Myanmar (X units) were the main suppliers of non-knitted men apparel imports to Slovenia, together comprising 57% of total imports. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pakistan, Germany, Turkey, Italy and Vietnam lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 29%.
