Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by 119%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then fell rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, non-cellular polyvinyl chloride film exports declined rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, posted strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 91%. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then fell sharply in the following year.

Bosnia and Herzegovina (X tons), Albania (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main destinations of non-cellular polyvinyl chloride film exports from Slovenia, together comprising 77% of total exports. Slovakia, Romania, Poland, France, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Hungary, Croatia and Montenegro lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 19%.

From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
