Over the period under review, the exports of attained the peak figure at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, exports of shampoos, hair lacquers and other preparations rose notably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports of attained the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Germany (X tons) was the main destination for exports of shampoos, hair lacquers and other preparations from Slovenia, accounting for a 27% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of shampoos, hair lacquers and other preparations to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Czech Republic (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Croatia (X tons), with an 11% share.

The second position in the ranking was held by the Czech Republic ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by Croatia, with an 8.8% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Germany totaled -1.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (+0.3% per year) and Croatia (+1.1% per year).

In 2022, the average export price for shampoos, hair lacquers and other preparations amounted to $X per ton, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 6.4% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, approx. X tons of shampoos, hair lacquers and other preparations were imported into Slovenia; increasing by 2.7% compared with 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a pronounced reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of reached the maximum at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, imports of shampoos, hair lacquers and other preparations dropped to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a perceptible descent.
