Concrete tile exports from Slovenia rose slightly to X tons in 2022, with an increase of 2.8% against the previous year. Overall, exports recorded a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when exports increased by 61%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, concrete tile exports reduced to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate resilient growth. The third position in this ranking was taken by Bosnia and Herzegovina (X tons), with a 9% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Croatia amounted to +16.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Austria (+15.6% per year) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (+0.2% per year).

In value terms, Croatia ($X) remains the key foreign market for tiles, flagstones, bricks and similar articles, of cement, concrete or artificial stone exports from Slovenia, comprising 51% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Austria ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an 8.7% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Croatia amounted to +13.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Austria (+16.5% per year) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (-0.5% per year).

In 2022, the average concrete tile export price amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -4.1% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a slight shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 16%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Slovenia

In 2022, imports of tiles, flagstones, bricks and similar articles, of cement, concrete or artificial stone into Slovenia was estimated at X tons, increasing by 7.8% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports showed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 66%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, concrete tile imports totaled $X in 2022. In general, imports saw prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 72% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

The third position in this ranking was taken by Austria (X tons), with a 14% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Croatia amounted to +75.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Hungary (+3.9% per year) and Austria (-1.8% per year).

In value terms, Croatia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of tiles, flagstones, bricks and similar articles, of cement, concrete or artificial stone to Slovenia, comprising 39% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Austria ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Italy, with a 13% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Croatia amounted to +54.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Austria (-0.8% per year) and Italy (+0.3% per year).

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the average concrete tile import price amounted to $X per ton, falling by -6.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a mild shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 39%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the price for Croatia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
