Overall, total exports indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by -23.7% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 83%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Serbia (X tons), Romania (X tons) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (X tons) were the main destinations of vices and clamps exports from Slovenia, together accounting for 48% of total exports. Croatia, the United States, North Macedonia, Hungary, Russia, the Netherlands, the UK, Australia and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 38%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Australia (with a CAGR of +93.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for vices and clamps exported from Slovenia were Serbia ($X), Croatia ($X) and Romania ($X), with a combined 50% share of total exports. Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United States, North Macedonia, Hungary, Russia, the UK, the Netherlands, Australia and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 34%.
Australia, with a CAGR of +78.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average vices and clamps export price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 23% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 51% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Croatia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to North Macedonia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+9.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Slovenia
Vices and clamps imports into Slovenia fell to X tons in 2022, flattening at 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a strong increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 47%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, leveling off in the following year.
In value terms, vices and clamps imports shrank to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 36%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then fell in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest vices and clamps supplier to Slovenia, with a 58% share of total imports. Moreover, vices and clamps imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Serbia (X tons), with a 4.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China stood at +14.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+5.4% per year) and Serbia (+31.0% per year).
In value terms, China ($X), Germany ($X) and Austria ($X) appeared to be the largest vices and clamps suppliers to Slovenia, with a combined 70% share of total imports. Taiwan (Chinese), Italy, Croatia, Serbia and India lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 14%.
In terms of the main suppliers, Serbia, with a CAGR of +21.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average vices and clamps import price amounted to $X per ton, reducing by -4.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 34% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per ton), while the price for Serbia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
