In 2021, imports of drive-axles with differential and non-driving axles into South Africa skyrocketed to X tons, picking up by 26% compared with 2020. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -10.9% against 2019 indices.
