The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 32%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, wood flat pallet imports contracted markedly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a slight shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 73%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2020, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.
