From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, groundnuts imports declined remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a dramatic decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 469%. From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Malawi amounted to +15.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Namibia (-23.9% per year) and Mozambique (-26.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average groundnuts import price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 24% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a abrupt shrinkage.
