From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Zimbabwe amounted to +14.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Zambia (-4.0% per year) and Namibia (+21.4% per year).

Imports into South Africa
Boron oxide and boric acid imports into South Africa contracted to X tons in 2021, which is down by -10.9% compared with the previous year's figure. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 70%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, boron oxide and boric acid imports rose notably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a slight curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 42%.
