Botswana (X tons), Democratic Republic of the Congo (X tons) and Namibia (X tons) were the main destinations of piano exports from South Africa, with a combined 56% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Democratic Republic of the Congo (with a CAGR of +39.2%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
In value terms, Namibia ($X), Morocco ($X) and the United States ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for piano exported from South Africa worldwide, together comprising 68% of total exports. Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Zambia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Malawi ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ethiopia (+172.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a dramatic setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 175%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, piano imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a abrupt contraction. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

China (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons) were the main suppliers of piano imports to South Africa, with a combined 79% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of +48.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, the largest piano suppliers to South Africa were the United Arab Emirates ($X), Indonesia ($X) and China ($X), together accounting for 80% of total imports.
