The South African table flatware market contracted modestly to $X in 2022, almost unchanged from the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption, however, continues to indicate a noticeable decline. In value terms, table flatware imports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 42% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
