Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Zambia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Lesotho ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Zimbabwe (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Wood tool imports into South Africa shrank to X tons in 2021, waning by -11.1% compared with 2020. Overall, total imports indicated slight growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the last nine years. In 2021, China (X tons) was the main supplier of wood tool to South Africa, accounting for a 100% share of total imports. It was followed by Malaysia (X tons), with a 0.1% share of total imports.
