In 2022, imports of amplifiers in South-Eastern Asia expanded rapidly to X units, growing by 11% compared with 2021 figures. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 21%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.
In value terms, amplifier imports dropped to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Thailand (X units) and Singapore (X units) represented roughly 60% of total imports in 2022. Vietnam (X units) held a 13% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Malaysia (13%), the Philippines (7.4%) and Indonesia (4.8%).
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Vietnam (with a CAGR of +17.8%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Vietnam ($X), Indonesia ($X) and Singapore ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together accounting for 61% of total imports.
Vietnam, with a CAGR of +17.6%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per unit, shrinking by -11.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a slight decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 21% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2021 to 2022, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($X per unit), while Thailand ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
