In value terms, aniline exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, exports saw prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by 529%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Malaysia prevails in exports structure, finishing at X tons, which was near 95% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Singapore (X kg), constituting a 4.6% share of total exports.
Malaysia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the aniline and its salts (excluding derivatives) exports, with a CAGR of +42.4% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Singapore (+21.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Malaysia (+91 p.p.) and Singapore (+3.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In 2021, the amount of aniline and its salts (excluding derivatives) imported in South-Eastern Asia skyrocketed to X tons, rising by 46% against 2020. Total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.4% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +49.4% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 53%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Singapore was the major importing country with an import of about X tons, which resulted at 76% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Indonesia (X tons), making up a 23% share of total imports.
Singapore was also the fastest-growing in terms of the aniline and its salts (excluding derivatives) imports, with a CAGR of +10.6% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Indonesia (+1.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Singapore (+18 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Indonesia saw its share reduced by -16% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.
In value terms, Singapore ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported aniline and its salts (excluding derivatives) in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 78% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Indonesia ($X), with a 21% share of total imports.

Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 17% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a mild contraction.
