In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 45%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, base metal flexible tubing imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a slight expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 104% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Thailand (X tons), distantly followed by Indonesia (X tons), the Philippines (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), Singapore (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons) represented the main importers of base metal flexible tubing, iron or steel, together committing 97% of total imports. Cambodia (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 46% against the previous year.
