In 2021, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in the Southeast Asian metal bath market, when its value increased by 6.2% to $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, the export price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 8.9% against the previous year. Export price indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. All these countries together held approx. 51% share of total imports.

Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.1%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the import price increased by 23% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton, leveling off in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per ton), while Vietnam ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
