The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -12.8% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 61%. Indonesia (X tons) and Malaysia (X tons) represented the main importers of bentonite in 2022, amounting to approx. 39% and 28% of total imports, respectively. Thailand (X tons) took the next position in the ranking, distantly followed by Vietnam (X tons) and Singapore (X tons). All these countries together took near 29% share of total imports. The Philippines (X tons) took a little share of total imports.

In 2022, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, which is down by -1.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 33%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then reduced slightly in the following year.
