The volume of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, cauliflower and broccoli exports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when exports increased by 97% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
Exports by Country
In 2022, Vietnam (X tons) was the largest exporter of cauliflower and broccoli, mixing up 57% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Thailand (X tons) and Malaysia (X tons), together achieving a 39% share of total exports. Singapore (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.
Vietnam was also the fastest-growing in terms of the cauliflower and broccoli exports, with a CAGR of +37.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Thailand (+24.9%), Malaysia (+14.2%) and Singapore (+1.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, Vietnam ($X) remains the largest cauliflower and broccoli supplier in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 53% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Thailand ($X), with a 26% share of total exports. It was followed by Malaysia, with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Vietnam totaled +41.5%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Thailand (+31.4% per year) and Malaysia (+4.4% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2022, waning by -3.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a pronounced reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the export price increased by 21% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per ton), while Malaysia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, Malaysia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported cauliflower and broccoli in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 69% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Singapore ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Malaysia stood at +11.4%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Singapore (+2.9% per year) and Thailand (+6.8% per year).
Import Prices by Country
