Thailand (X square meters) and Vietnam (X square meters) represented roughly 78% of total exports in 2022. Malaysia (X square meters) held the next position in the ranking, followed by Indonesia (X square meters). All these countries together held near 21% share of total exports.

In value terms, the largest ceramic tile supplying countries in South-Eastern Asia were Vietnam ($X), Thailand ($X) and Malaysia ($X), together comprising 82% of total exports.
Among the main exporting countries, Thailand, with a CAGR of +0.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.

In value terms, ceramic tile imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +29.4% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 21% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2022, the Philippines (X square meters) and Thailand (X square meters) represented the major importers of ceramic tiles in South-Eastern Asia, together mixing up 43% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Malaysia (X square meters), Cambodia (X square meters), Myanmar (X square meters) and Indonesia (X square meters), together making up a 45% share of total imports. The following importers - Singapore (X square meters) and Lao People's Democratic Republic (X square meters) - each recorded a 6.6% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the Philippines (with a CAGR of +14.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the Philippines ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported ceramic tiles in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 34% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Thailand ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Indonesia, with a 12% share.
In the Philippines, ceramic tile imports expanded at an average annual rate of +17.4% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Thailand (+1.1% per year) and Indonesia (-0.4% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per square meter in 2022, increasing by 8.9% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 10%.
