It was distantly followed by Lao People's Democratic Republic (X tons) and the Philippines (X tons), together committing a 15% share of total imports. Vietnam (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The import price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, flattening at the previous year. Import price indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.3% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, cocoa powder with sugar import price decreased by -13.9% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the import price increased by 59% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2017 to 2021, the import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per ton), while Lao People's Democratic Republic ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
